Thursday photos. 246 kids at HBS.

This little guy can run really fast!!
After leading the HBS games all morning and then the games for little kids at the teen rally for several hours in the late afternoon, Mr. Nichols deserves this rest.  Do ask him however, about the kid he nailed with the big ball!  Good thing there is no HRS in Cameroon.
They all, kids and adults, want us to take their photo. Isn't she sweet?  Sometimes it is hard to tell the girls from the boys as the government requires both to have their heads shaved!
This is the little girl we have all fallen in love with. She is a fiesty thing and is the one who while asleep on Sarah Beth's lap, took a leak.
Sharing in the hard and exciting work here in Cameroon has taken strangers and turned them into friends.
Awwww, this picture does not do justice to the depth of this hole and how skinny the road is we have to drive on so that we do not land in the hole or tip over in the van.  We all yell, "Lean to the right" and pray.  Isn't Emily just the woman with the cube?
What we look like driving to HBS.  We have to take all our stuff home each day to keep it safe.
Shanna doing a great job as pianist for opening assembly.
This is the hole that the back of the van fell in.  In prior blog there was a photo of the van stuck in this spot.  Driving is such an adventure.  Walking seems like a good option after the rain!!  Ben:  We may slip and we may slide but we not turn over!"
During the final teen rally we had a mini VBS to keep the kids busy.  Lots of games, balloons, and the evangecube.
Cutie pie.
Name tags ready for the kids to come.  We had other missionary's helping us and we were so grateful for their help.
Lovin this pic.
For craft time we can't fit into the room so we divide the kids into two groups and serve refreshments to one half while the other does their craft. This is Drew, the Sinclair's oldest being very creative with his craft.
The military skit.  You can't take these guys anywhere...
Our hand washing station.  One person pumps out soap and one pours water over the hands.
Tim's new girlfriend, watch out Kate.
The doctor skit was a huge hit!
Foot washin' by Sarah Beth.  We can't get the red dirt off.
Opening assembly we were packed in there.
Another large rut.
These two are extremely competitive and rascally too.
Caleb, Savannah and Tim were mobbed when they started doing balloons.
Whose baby? We have no idea, but she appears each morning and quietly stands right next to me all the while I register kids!!  I put the stickers on her hands and she left them on all day.
When we play games, children just come out of the woodwork.  Maybe a 7 year old with a 4 year old and mostly they take decent care of the little guy.  Their balloons kept popping on the tall grass and the older brother came up and took the little guys hand and raised it up so his balloon would not pop and the little guy just stood there with his hand up.
Little kid big ball.  They LOVED it.  Mr. Nichols has run terrific games.
Kids kept on coming and coming until there were no aisles left.
Craft time in the Ant Class.  They are shy and I have to say, "Let me see your teeth" to get them to smile.
Fun.

  1. Mrs. Peterson, your pictures and their captions mean so much to us prayer partners here in the states. Thank you for being faithful to post them. They make me feel like I am experiencing what you are, and at the same time, they make me long to be there with you all. I see precious souls through the eyes of these children. God bless you for putting this all together for His glory.
